Terms of Service

• Once accepted, the job cannot be retracted under any circumstances and payment has to be made upon completion.
• Two to seven business days are required to complete a job of fewer than 10,000 words (herein referred to as “turnaround time”). The turnaround time starts from when the documents to be edited have been received by Simit Patel Copy Editing Services. 
• For lengthier jobs with more than 10,000 words, some extra time might be required. Please ask for details.
• For lengthy jobs more than 10,000 words, 50% payment must be made in advance. The remainder of the balance is due upon completion.
• Once a job is completed and returned to the customer, payment should be made within 14 days. If the customer needs extra time, this should be  mentioned during the assignment of the job.
• The preferred payment currency is Euro. If this is not possible, payment can be made in US dollars, UK pounds, or Mexican pesos (via Payoneer), but this may incur an additional fee. 
• The utmost care is taken in completing the job on time. Under exceptional circumstances, customers will be notified of the delay. In this case, customers will be free to withdraw the assignment.
• When documents are submitted for copy editing or proofreading, it is assumed that all documents submitted are original. In case of any act of plagiarism or AI fraud, only the customer will be held responsible. Simit Patel Copy Editing Services will not take liability for any copyright violation or act of plagiarism.
• Only language is edited. Simit Patel Copy Editing Services bears no responsibility for the scientific accuracy of the content.
• All original and edited copies of documents are retained for 1 month after the conclusion of a project. Customers will be contacted before anything gets deleted. Upon request, copies can be retained for longer.
